SALTT Dance Marathon

I was the leader of a group in a school club called SALTT which focuses on the well being of immigrant children who's parents work in the fields, and whom live in extreme poverty by ensuring them fun activities and educational resources. In one event which the school held which raised money through a dance marathon, I was the leader of a particular age group and I also worked on committing sponsors to donate money.

Volleyball

Throughout my High School career I was very athletic and participated in sports, the main one being Volleyball. I played for the school team my freshmen-sophomore year and I also played club volleyball after school. Playing volleyball gave me a real sense of what it is like to work in a team and how to be a leader under a team. It taught me negotiation skills and taught me how to control and manage a group of individuals.
